The Space

A spacious, light-filled, multi-level coastal holiday home designed to make the most of its elevated position and sweeping Southern Ocean outlook.

Sleeping up to 8 guests across three bedrooms — including a separate upstairs family retreat for four — the layout balances shared living space with privacy, making it well suited to families, couples and groups, as well as longer coastal stays.

The main living, kitchen, dining and outdoor entertaining areas all face the ocean, creating a strong connection to the changing conditions beyond the reef. The master suite and upstairs retreat share this outlook, while Bedroom 2 offers a quieter garden-facing space.

Overlooking the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary, the home combines space, comfort and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Fast Wi-Fi 6 on an NBN 100 plan makes Marengo Views well suited to remote work and longer stays.

There are two separate work areas, giving couples or family members the flexibility to work apart when needed.

The upstairs work area consists of a desk and chair positioned beside the large ocean-facing picture window, offering sweeping coastal views while you work.

A second, quieter downstairs workspace is equipped with a 34″ monitor, webcam, keyboard and mouse, providing a more traditional work setup away from the upstairs retreat and main living areas.

Together, the two work areas make it easier for more than one guest to work comfortably during a longer coastal stay.

You’ll have full access to the home and outdoor areas, with the exception of a small locked workroom downstairs.

Before You Book

Access & Stairs

Marengo Views is an elevated, split-level home with approximately 25 steps from the carport to the main entrance, followed by around 10 internal stairs to the upper floor, where the master bedroom and Bedroom Three are located.

Guests should be comfortable using stairs, and the home may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations or difficulty carrying luggage.

Driveway & Parking

Parking is available in the covered carport, driveway and on the street.

The driveway is moderately steep in sections, so guests should take care when entering and reversing. Motion-activated lighting and reflectors assist with visibility at night.

Guests with very low-clearance vehicles may prefer street parking.

Perched on a hill with sweeping ocean views, this home offers a front-row seat to the beauty of Marengo and Apollo Bay. Just 3km from town, you’ll have easy access to supermarkets, cafés, local pubs, and cosy restaurants.

A short 3 minute walk takes you to nearby sandy beaches, rock pools, and Harrison’s Beach within the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary. The main swimming beach at Marengo Beach is also just a 7-minute walk away.

From May to September, keep an eye out for migrating whales — Southern Right whales are sometimes visible from the balconies and deck, with their distinctive V-shaped tails.

Explore nearby sections of the Great Ocean Walk, enjoy the jetty for fishing, or spot local wildlife such as colourful parrots, koalas, kangaroos, and even seals (season permitting).
